We would like to take this opportunity to wish all our community in Lewisham a very Happy New Year. It’s been another busy year for the charity and we’ve been reflecting on some of our biggest achievements this year.

Some of our highlights include 

Official reopening of LICC following internal refurbishment by Lewisham Council 

St. Patrick’s Day Celebrations from Trafalgar Square St. Patrick’s Day Parade 

Our AGM in April when we elected a new board of trustees.

Development of LICC Welfare Team- we welcomed two new members of staff; Brian Hughes and Francesca Cook

Celebrating Cultural Week with Holbeach Primary School thanks to Jessica, Jean and members of our Elders Group 

Launch of partnership with Lewisham Community Connections delivering weekly drop-in from the Centre 

Welcoming Sean Fleming Minister for the Irish diaspora

Two new trustees joined our board, Dervla O’Shea and Martina O’ Sullivan

Introducing Catford Stomp a regular dance event at the Centre

Launch of Lewisham Foodcycle’s Wednesday Lunch, in partnership with the Centre 

LICC Christmas events included Elder’s Christmas lunch, Christmas Party, fundraising concert and delivery of Christmas Hampers made possible by a kind donation within the community

Special thanks to our funders, hall hirers and kind donations from the community who enable our team to deliver advice and advocacy to the community and facilitate activities and events to improve health and wellbeing. 

We look forward to the year ahead, offices re-open on the 3rd January providing advice and support and all groups and classes return on Monday 8th January 2024.
